French first began exporting equipment in 1905 to Canada, Great Britain, Germany and Norway, and soon after to China. In the 1920s French further expanded into the Asian markets and eventually into the Middle East, Africa and South America. We now have sales representation coverage in major markets worldwide. Over the history of our company, we have exported hydraulic presses, screw presses or other processing equipment to every continent other than Antarctica and supported customers in over eighty countries.
We have received multiple awards for our exporting achievements. In 1984 we were awarded with the highest recognition any U.S. entity may receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports, the Presidential “E” Award for Exports. In May 2012 we received the Presidential “E” Star Award from U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary John Bryson at the White House in Washington, DC.
We received the Ohio Governor’s “E” Award for Exports in 1997 and again in 2006.
Additionally, French was named a finalist in the exporting category of the first ever Dayton Business Journal Manufacturing Awards held in October 2012 and we were honored with the first place award in 2013.
