The CAMX, Composites and Advanced Materials Expo, will take place December 12-14, 2017, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, after being unfortunately postponed from its original September dates due to Hurricane Irma.
The annual Expo, created by the ACMA and SAMPE associations, brings together composite and advanced materials companies from over 52 countries, allowing networking, industry education and product promotion. Composite professionals from the aerospace, transportation, marine, wind energy, software, construction and infrastructure, medical, academics, sports and leisure sectors attend CAMX. Last year the event drew close to 8,000 attendees and 545 exhibitors.
What’s On Display? Composite Molding Hydraulic Presses
French and TMP have been exhibiting at CAMX since 2014 and have rescheduled our booth commitment to the new December dates. In our booth, our hydraulic press expert, David Sledz, will be displaying our proprietary line of custom hydraulic press systems for composite applications. Our composite presses are available in full range of sizes and capacities, generally starting at 25 tons and ranging upward of 2,000 tons, along with various levels of heating, controls and hydraulics based on our customers’ specific molding, forming, laminating or bonding needs. Also, as an option, we can design and outfit any of our composite press systems with the Vacuum Advantage option.
French and TMP Brand Composite Vacuum Press Models Offer the Following Advantages:
- True Vacuum molding without special seats, molds and fixtures.
- Reduction in scrap, less trapped air, shorter cycles.
- Ability to work with material that is difficult to process with conventional compression molding.
- Improved temperature uniformity and stability.
Further, our composite presses can be built with high temperature capabilities, heating and cooling options, data collection and precision control of hydraulic pressure.
Free Expo Registration Code
If you would like a complimentary registration code for the Expo, please contact us by December 5. Quantities are limited.
Treat Yourself! Orlando Has More than The Mouse
We don’t suggest all work and no play while visiting Orlando. Of course, Orlando is well known for the Disney attractions. However, there are plenty of new venues and activities to fill the evening hours. Orlando is now home to Andretti Indoor Karting and Games which opened in September, iFly Indoor Skydiving and TopGolf Entertainment, which features 230 high-definition TVs and over 100 climate-controlled hitting bays equipped with advanced technology to track the accuracy and distance of players’ shots. If you prefer theater, The Book of Morman will be playing December 12 and 13 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
Can’t Make it to the Show?
If you are unable to make the show but would like to discuss our custom hydraulic press systems, please call us at 937-773-3420 or contact our team of experiences sales engineers. You may also download literature about our hydraulic press systems for more information on the features and benefits of our presses.
We hope to see you soon in Orlando and have the opportunity to discuss your molding needs and our custom press solutions with you.
