FOM (Shanghai) Company, Ltd., a wholly foreign-owned enterprise of The French Oil Mill Machinery Company, in Shanghai, China, has begun production of French’s polymer processing equipment. The 18,000 square foot facility opened in October 2009 and allows FOM (Shanghai)’s parent company, French, to provide the Chinese polymer processing market with Chinese-manufactured machinery or imported machinery, as desired by the customers.
According to Daniel P. French, Chairman and President of The French Oil Mill Machinery Company, “Opening FOM (Shanghai) Company, Ltd. was a strategic business decision in the ongoing process to provide superior service to our Chinese customers and the booming synthetic rubber industry in the country.”
FOM (Shanghai) will also produce French’s world-renowned line of oilseed processing equipment for the Chinese oilseed market
French maintains their headquarters in Piqua, Ohio, USA, for sales, engineering, manufacturing and support of its polymer, oilseed and hydraulic products for customers worldwide. The 225,000 square foot corporate office and manufacturing facility will continue to be the main source for serving non-Chinese customers, with new machinery and after-market parts.
