French employees, Tanya Shell, Assistant Vice President – Finance, and Mark Archey, Sales Engineer – Polymer, were among 12 members of Piqua’s business community that completed the Leadership Piqua Program and were honored at the program’s graduation banquet held on May 7, 2013, at the Piqua Country Club.

Leadership Piqua aspires to increase the quality and quantity of men and women capable of assuming leadership roles in our community. During twelve weekly sessions that began in February 2013, participants learned about high performance communication, Chamber partners, healthcare issues, how board of directors work, county government and human services needs. Participants also participated in city department tours, plant tours, educational facility tours, a tour of the hospital, a trip to the Columbus state government and a mock city commission meeting.

Following completion of the Leadership Piqua Program, Shell will intern on the board for Habitat for Humanity of Miami County and Archey will intern on the YMCA board of directors.
