Our machine tools range from manual to computerized machining centers. These offer capabilities such as boring, turning, milling, grinding, drilling, and key seating. In March 2017, we invested in three new CNC machine tools: a bridge mill, a vertical turning lathe, and a horizontal machining center. In 2023, we added two more machine tools, highlighting our dedication to progress.
With crane capacities of 30 tons and hook clearances of 23 feet, we provide versatile solutions, covering everything from machining and fabrication to final assembly.

Project Management and Proofing
Each new order at French is overseen by a dedicated Project Manager, who serves as a knowledgeable point of contact. They direct schedules, approval drawings, manuals, and address any queries. We select Project Managers based on their expertise in the specific machinery involved. If desired, we provide Gantt charts to track progress throughout the project.
Our engineers use FEA (finite-element analysis) software and field laser-alignment equipment data to validate machinery designs. They regularly conduct energy studies aimed at reducing operational costs from a utility perspective.
Using models from our SolidWorks and CAD software, we import them into advanced FEA software for linear static analyses. Thermal, vibration, and non-linear analyses are also available. Our engineers conduct practical laser alignment experiments within customers' facilities. These experiments provide valuable data on part deflections, validating our engineering analyses.
When creating deflection plots, our engineers deliberately exaggerate deflections to visualize real-world behavior. This data ensures parts perform effectively under demanding conditions while optimizing weight and cost.
