Precision Hydraulic Press for Medical Device Manufacturing
Precision Hydraulic Press for Medical Device Manufacturing
When molding critical components for the medical industry, precision is not optional. French and TMP hydraulic presses deliver the repeatable force control and low deflection levels required to produce validated medical parts. Our advanced control systems collect real-time process data during every cycle, confirming that each press stroke operates within your qualified parameters and providing full traceability for regulatory documentation. Clean room press configurations are available.
Medical-Grade Molding With Validated Process Control
Medical device manufacturers face some of the most demanding quality requirements in any industry. Part specifications are tight, regulatory scrutiny is constant, and production downtime directly impacts supply chain commitments. French hydraulic presses are engineered to meet these conditions.
Our press control systems track clamp force, platen position, temperature, and cycle timing in real time. This data is logged automatically, giving your quality team the documentation they need for process validation and audit readiness. Integrated recipe management lets operators switch between validated programs without manual re-entry, reducing setup error and supporting multi-product production schedules.
Low-Deflection Hydraulic Press Design for Critical Medical Parts
Part quality in medical molding depends on uniform material flow and consistent thickness across every cavity. French hydraulic presses are built with heavy-duty frames that deliver exceptionally low deflection under full tonnage. This produces finished-dimension molded parts with uniform material properties and tight flatness tolerances.
The result is measurable: reduced scrap, fewer post-press finishing operations, and lower per-part cost. Several French press customers in the medical sector have reported 98% utilization rates while running 24/7 production schedules. That kind of uptime reflects both press reliability and the dimensional consistency that keeps reject rates low.

VISION Series Laboratory and Development Press
French built its reputation on rugged, low-deflection production presses. That same engineering is applied to the VISION Series, a compact press line with the features and durability of our larger systems. These precision presses serve laboratory, R&D, short-run production, cell manufacturing, and lean manufacturing environments.
The column-style press features a double-acting hydraulic cylinder with adjustable daylight. Clamp force, opening speed, closing speed, and pressing speed are all manually adjustable. VISION Series models are available in 30, 50, 75, 100, and 150 ton capacities, with standard platen sizes from 15 in. x 15 in. to 24 in. x 24 in. Custom platen sizes and press configurations can be supplied for specialized medical development work.

Vacuum VISION Press for Void-Free Medical Components
The VACUUM VISION press combines low-deflection frame design with integrated vacuum capability, providing a solution for molding critical or difficult medical parts. This is particularly effective for highly gaseous materials and components with deep-drawn profiles.
Removing heated gases and trapped air during the molding cycle helps eliminate voids and surface defects, resulting in higher-quality parts and reduced scrap. The vacuum environment also reduces harmful vapors and can increase production rates by reducing the number of breathing cycles (bumps) required.

Composite Molding Press for Medical Laboratory Testing
TMP designed a 300-ton downacting press for a customer molding composite medical laboratory testing components. The press features a heavy-duty ground headblock to achieve low deflection levels and three knock-out cylinders that support the customer's full range of molds. TMP engineers partnered with the customer's team to design a specialized operator interface that integrated into their existing control programs.
