Engineering Administrative Assistant

Position Summary:
The Engineering Administrative Assistant provides critical support to the Engineering team by managing data, documentation, and systems within an engineered-to-order manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate Bills of Materials, supporting engineering changes, and ensuring data integrity across systems.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with technical information while supporting a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain part numbers and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the ERP system
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of engineering and manufacturing data
- Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and maintain revision control documentation
- Maintain engineering records, drawings, and technical documentation
- Support document control processes, including tracking and distribution
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and other departments to support operations
- Provide administrative support to engineers and project managers
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and general documentation
- Answer and direct phone calls; serve as backup receptionist as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
- 3–5 years of administrative experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred
- Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a structured environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
