Super Dewatering Press™

The French Super Dewatering Press™ is custom designed for all types of synthetic rubber and other polymers. It dewaters a synthetic rubber crumb from a 60% inlet to a discharge moisture level as low as 3–5%, all in one machine. The discharge material is cut into a porous pellet form that can be easily dried in a hot‑air dryer.

Compared to a standard dewatering screw press that achieves 12% discharge moisture, the Super Dewatering Press allows you to use a smaller conveyor dryer. As a result, users can reduce equipment size and energy costs—improving efficiency across the production line.

Custom Designed Mechanical Drying and Dewatering Equipment

The Super Dewatering Press™ uses hydraulic power to compress materials and achieve solid–liquid separation. This process reduces both the volume and disposal costs of sludge or polymer waste. The system applies high pressure—typically between 7 and 20 bar—to force water through the filter media, producing a solid, dry cake. Even materials with poor water flow benefit from the press’s precise compression method.

Its robust frame, hydraulic cylinder, and motor ensure reliable operation. In addition, stainless steel construction provides long‑term durability and meets industry hygiene standards. The press can be paired with PLC or touchscreen controls, giving operators greater automation and reducing labor time.

Hydraulic Dewatering for Maximum Efficiency

The dewatering process can reduce wastewater volume by up to 90%, making dried materials easier to handle, store, and transport. It also cuts disposal fees by as much as 50%. Moreover, this efficient system allows the recovery of valuable chemicals or minerals while enabling the reuse of treated water in other industrial processes.

Regular maintenance keeps the Super Dewatering Press operating at peak performance and extends its service life. Because it’s a hydraulic system, upkeep is straightforward, ensuring consistent results batch after batch.

Lower Temperature Operation for Sensitive Materials

Compared to mechanical drying lines, which require higher temperatures, the Super Dewatering Press operates at lower heat levels. This helps eliminate degradation and quality issues in temperature‑sensitive materials.

The equipment supports a wide range of applications and can be customized for desired capacity and automation levels. Each hydraulic press can be configured for automatic or manual operation, depending on the model and production needs. Installation options and control packages can also be tailored to individual plant layouts.

At French, we work closely with each customer to develop a solution that meets their installation and production goals. Press sizes are available for capacities ranging from 1 ton/hour to over 12 tons/hour.
