Econo-Mix Tilt-Type Rubber Mixer for Rubber, Silicone & Plastic Compounding
The TMP Econo-Mix is a tilt-type intensive rubber mixer engineered for demanding rubber, silicone, and plastic compounding applications. Available in batch sizes from a 3-liter laboratory rubber mixer to 35 to 110-liter production models, the Econo-Mix is designed to handle your toughest compounds, and to do it consistently, cycle after cycle.
The Econo-Mix reflects that accumulated process knowledge: rugged construction, high-shear rotor geometry, precision thermal management, and controls that give your operators repeatable results without guesswork.
Intensive Mixing Performance Across Every Batch Size
Whether you run a laboratory mixing program or a full production floor, the Econo-Mix product line has you covered. The 3-liter lab model is built for compound development, quality control, and small-batch trials. The 35 to 110-liter production models are designed to match industrial throughput requirements while maintaining the mixing precision your process demands.
Every Econo-Mix unit is engineered on the same platform: a tilt-body design that simplifies discharge and cleanout, combined with a dual-helix rotor system that delivers uniform shear across the working batch.

Econo-Mix Mixer Features — Built to Run, Built to Last
High-Shear Rotor Design for Consistent Dispersion
The Econo-Mix uses a dual-helix tangential high-shear rotor design that applies intensive shear forces throughout the batch. Each rotor is a single-piece cored casting, eliminating joints that can wear or leak. Hard-faced wing tips and a hard chrome surface coating extend rotor service life under abrasive compounding conditions. Replaceable hard-faced rotor collars further protect against wear at critical contact zones.

Stainless Steel Chamber for Long Service Life
The mixing chamber is constructed from work-hardening stainless steel, with stainless steel replaceable wear plates that protect the chamber walls. All internal surfaces carry a hard chrome plating to resist abrasion from high-durometer and filled rubber compounds. When wear does occur, the replaceable plate design allows targeted reconditioning without replacing the entire chamber body.
Precision Heating and Cooling for Single-Pass Mixing
Thermal management is built into every Econo-Mix component that matters. Cooling passages are drilled close to the working surface for fast response. The floating weight is cored for cooling. Rotors use cored cooling passages to maintain rotor temperature under load. Flood fluid heating and cooling, combined with a closed-loop thermocouple control system and contoured cast cavities for increased surface area, ensure consistent material temperature throughout the batch — a critical variable in single-pass mixing applications.
Tilt-Body Assembly for Fast Discharge and Cleanout
The Econo-Mix chamber assembly mounts on stress-relieved fabricated pedestals as a one-piece unit riding on roller bearings. The tilt mechanism, driven by a gearhead motor with brake, tilts up to 130 degrees for complete, fast batch discharge and thorough cleanout between compounds. Reduced cleanout time means faster compound changeovers and less risk of cross-contamination.
TMP TL-Series Controls, Recipe Management, and Data Logging
The standard TMP TL-Series control package provides an industrial-grade NEMA enclosure with a touchscreen interface running TMP software on a microprocessor platform. Operators can develop, store, and recall compound recipes, log batch data for quality documentation, and monitor process parameters in real time. A light curtain and safety mat are standard for operator protection.
Batch cycle programming supports variables including rotor speed (RPM), ram pressure, batch temperature, and energy utilization, the same parameters operators need to confirm accurate mixing execution and batch-to-batch consistency.
